Nu-G, a contemporary gospel hip-hop duo, featuring Byron "Be'Y" Motley and David "Supa Dav" Lottahall of Northern VA, has just launched its debut CD, “Tonite”. Described as hip-hop for the soul, the smooth Jagged Edged/John Legend like vocals of Be'Y combined with the powerful Common like delivery of Supa Dav creates a sound never before heard in secular OR Gospel Music genres! “Tonite” offers 10 fresh and original songs that will become favorites of not just gospel music audiences, but secular urban audiences as well.
Two life-long friends, Lottahall and Motley wrote and perform all of the songs on the CD. According to Be'Y, “If you like soulful music, you’ll love this CD! These songs we're inspired by real life situations that people find themselves in and go through every day, and how a relationship with God will help you get through them.” Supa Dav says, “Creating this collection was a lot of hard work but we also had fun doing it and I think that’s reflected in the music.”
“Tonite” is on Artist Owned Records (AOR) a new contemporary gospel recording label based in Ashburn, VA.
